The course consists of both theory and practical with a presentation and visit to the boiler room:
• Understanding steam
• Identifying components on a boiler
• Identifying ancillary equipment in the boiler room
• Importance of correct water treatment
• Familiarisation of boiler controls
• Required daily maintenance
• Visit to boiler house to identify components and demonstrate operating the boiler

You will be required to complete two 15-minute exam sheets at the end of the day; an observation sheet and a multiple-choice question exam.
